Byron Ellis has spent more than 25 years matching exceptional people with the organisations that need them most. After a long career recruiting across government, finance, and corporate services, he founded Enable Talent Group to focus on the sectors he knows best — the businesses shaping how Australians live, learn, and connect.

Today, Byron specialises in senior appointments across the Living Sectors — Build-to-Rent, Student Accommodation, Retirement Living, Affordable Housing, Co-Living and Specialist Disability Accommodation — working with developers, operators, REITs, and investors to secure leaders who can deliver both strategy and culture.

What sets Byron apart is his combination of deep sector knowledge, a genuine network-first approach, and a knack for spotting talent before it hits the market. Clients value his straight-talking style, ability to cut through the noise, and his belief that recruitment should be both rigorous and human.

Outside of work, Byron can usually be found spending time with his family. He loves most sports but, as a proud “pom,” he still has a soft spot for "proper football, that is played by the feet not hands" especially Leicester City. As an ex player Rugby Union also remains close to his heart, but since becoming an Australian citizen in 2013 he’s embraced the AFL, with Hawthorn his chosen team.
