Meet Byron - Founder & Director

After 25 years in senior roles with global recruitment firms, Byron Ellis founded Enable Talent Group with a clear vision: to put people before KPIs and deliver recruitment services grounded in trust, connection, and insight.


Byron’s career began in the UK, where he recruited into accounting and finance roles in Birmingham. In 2009, he relocated to Melbourne, where he helped establish the Executive Search division at Hays, specialising in the recruitment of senior leaders across finance, operations, and project management. His expertise spans both local assignments and complex, multi-country executive search projects.


He went on to lead teams at Michael Page and Hudson, where he delivered strategic recruitment solutions across sectors including investment management, funds and asset management, real estate development and mainstream finance roles


Byron launched Enable Talent Group to support clients across Melbourne and Sydney in sourcing top-tier talent for accounting, finance, property, and investment roles. From analysts and investment managers to finance directors and development leads, he works closely with clients to understand their business needs and build high performing teams.


Away from recruitment, Byron lives in Melbourne’s inner east with his wife and two sons. He remains loyal to Leicester City FC and still talks about their Premiership Title at odds of 5000/1 to anyone that is prepared to listen! He is also a big fan of rugby union and despite 15+ years in Victoria still doesn’t quite understand all of AFL’s rules.
